The activity of AERIS focuses in the design and implementation of bioreactors, systems for the depuration of waste waters and off gases which rely on the use of microorganisms. These systems:
guarantee a pollutant removal efficiency comparable to those offered by physico-chemical technologies (commonly > 99 %), both for liquid and gaseous effluents.
have significantly lower investment and operating costs.
have a longer life span and stability.
do not generate hazardous chemicals, contrary to some physico-chemical alternatives.
do not need neither expensive nor potentially hazardous chemical compounds.
