AERIS counts with a large group of PhD professionals with vast research experience and knowledge of the environmental field. This enables us to evaluate and optimize the operation of existing treatment plants, always looking for the most effective and economical alternative. Hereby, some of the different lines of activity of AERIS within the field of wastewater treatment are presented.
Treatment of high loads of organic matter
AERIS develops biological and combined systems that allow the treatment of liquids with high COD loads and/or slowly biodegradable COD with high efficiency. The selection of the optimal technology is made after laboratory or pilot tests. Using this technology, effluents with a minimum organic load and, often, an energy-rich gas are obtained.
AERIS has a series of physico-chemical systems that allow for the efficient treatment of intensely coloured wastewater. The emitted water is perfectly transparent and meets all the required legal limits.
Biological treatment of nutrients (N/P)
AERIS develops ammonium removal systems for high and low N loads, based on the partial nitrification process. This process allows an equally effective purification at a cost 40% lower. Similarly, AERIS has systems that enable the efficient and cost-effective treatment of phosphate ion.
